What is Cladding Paint?
Our cladding paint can be used only a number of substrates including metal, uPVC, and timber. This gives it more versatility than other cladding paints – you’ll be able to use it on multiple surfaces throughout your home, business, or commercial space. This includes:
- Siding
- Fascia Boards
- Soffits
- Trim
- And more!
As an oil-based paint, durability is the name of the game with our cladding paint. Oil paints are thicker than their water-based counterparts, meaning they’ll look better for longer and are naturally more resistant to wear and tear.
We designed our cladding paint to be especially resistant to water damage, with a compound that can handle heavy rain, infrequent showers, as well as standing water.
How Effective is Cladding Paint?
If you’re painting cladding, your main concern is how long it will last. Constant exposure to the elements will wear out paints that aren’t designed to last, and even some regular acrylic or oil-based paints may wear out or weaken after a few years.
Our Cladding Paint is formulated with advanced acrylic technology, providing superior durability and resistance to weathering, UV exposure, and environmental pollutants. Whether applied to metal, uPVC, or timber cladding, our paint creates a tough, protective barrier that shields against moisture, corrosion, and fading, ensuring long-lasting beauty and performance.
As water isn’t able to get beneath the surface, our cladding paint also works to prevent mould, mildew, damp, and mould, all things that can cause serious damage if left to run rampant.
Best Colour for Cladding Paint
Just because cladding paint is designed for protection doesn’t mean it can’t also look fantastic!
We are able to provide cladding paint in all kinds of standard colours to suit your needs such as:
- Light Grey
- Mid Grey
- Dark Grey
- Rustic Red
- Brown
- Black
- White
- Mid Green
- Dark Green
- Post Office Red
- JCB Yellow
- Bright Yellow
- Light Blue
- Mid Blue
- Dark Blue
But that’s not all! Our cladding paint is also part of our colour system. Simply enter a British Standard or RAL colour code and we’ll mix any colour you can imagine. If you’re trying to match a specific roof colour or shade and off-the-shelf options aren’t right, look no further.
No matter which colour you choose, this oil-based cladding paint has exceptional fade-resistance, meaning it will look good for a long time. Painting cladding is a job you don’t want to have to do every few years. Like many exterior painting projects that are mainly about protection, you want your paint to last for at least half a decade before it starts to fade and longer to start letting moisture seep in. Our cladding paint is one of the best, you won’t have to redo it for a long time after the final coat has dried.
Other Benefits of Cladding Paint
Even the most durable paint needs at least some maintenance. To keep the headaches to a minimum, we designed our cladding paint with easy maintenance in mind. With its smooth and washable finish, our paint resists dirt, stains, and grime, making it easy to clean and maintain the appearance of your cladding for years to come.
One of the biggest issues with oil-based paints is their strong odours and potentially harmful VOCs (volatile organic compounds). In contrast, our cladding paint is formulated with low odour and is VOC-free, providing a safer and more pleasant painting experience for you and your family. Say goodbye to strong fumes and harmful chemicals—our paint delivers exceptional performance without compromising indoor air quality or environmental sustainability.
It’s easy to apply too, as long as you can place your ladder safely, you’ll have no problem applying multiple layers. Just be sure to clean and prepare the surface properly before you begin!
Last but not least is the sheen. Like other oil-based paints, our cladding paint has a naturally glossy finish. As your cladding is almost certainly outside your home or building, this ensures it will reflect plenty of natural light, so that your chosen colour stands out at all times of day.
