1 – Initial introduction
1.1 By making a purchase with us, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions.

1.2 It is your own responsibility to ensure that you are fully aware of all of these terms and conditions when making a purchase with Paintmaster.

1.3 These terms and conditions can be altered at any time, so you should read them every time you make a purchase on this website. The publish date is stated at the bottom of this document.

2 – The contract of sale
2.1 On occasion, an item may be mispriced. If you purchase a mis-priced item, we reserve the right to cancel the contract and relist the product at the correct price.

2.2 We reserve the right to cancel any order at any time prior to delivery, for any reason – No contract of sales exists until your order is verified by a member of staff. Our initial order status, ‘Processed’ does not mean that a contract of sale is in place. This only means that the order has been successfully received into our system. From there on, validity and verification must take place before the contract of sale exists. Further, we reserve the right to degrade the order status from ‘Pick in progress’ to ‘Declined’ should our order become unacceptable for any reason.

2.3 The contract made between us through any transaction is governed by UK law, using only the English language.

3 – Privacy
3.1 We only store necessary information required to make a purchase. Your credit card information is NOT stored by us and is always processed across a secure server, using the online payment provider. It is recognised as one of the most secure and reliable payment providers in the world.

3.2 We do not sell or lease any of your personal information. All information left with Paintmaster is entirely confidential. Orders are processed in accordance with local law and they are not sold to third parties. We may contact you occasionally by email with offers or updates on products after purchasing from us. If you do not wish to be contacted, please just unsubscribe from emails.

4 – Delivery
4.1 Delivery charges and times calculated on our website are for UK mainland only. For deliveries to Channel Islands, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Scottish Islands, Northern Islands, Europe or other Intl. Deliveries please call for details and prices.

4.2 Offshore Deliveries. All local taxes and duty is to be paid by the receiver. Call for shipping costs.

4.3 Our free economy delivery rate is normally 2-5 business working days. Usually the delivery is faster but please make sure you leave enough time if contractors or equipment hire are involved. Only in a case where next day has been specified and paid for, we can guarantee next day delivery. Although we endeavour to strictly adhere to this delivery estimate, during extremely busy periods it may not be possible to meet these deadlines. This would be classed as a fault with the carrier if not delivered in the time specified. Please call us directly on 01663 7336633 in these situations so we can discuss.

4.4 Lost deliveries. We use 3 different carrier companies for all of our deliveries for reasons of reliability, convenience and health and safety in regards to using a HazChem network for all oil based deliveries. Unfortunately, as with all delivery services, there are very rare circumstances where parcels do not arrive in the agreed timescale. Under these circumstances, we endeavour to ensure that the item is delivered to you as soon as possible by contacting the delivery service and attempting to locate your parcel and have it delivered. In the case of lost items, we cannot refund orders or send out a replacement until the delivery is confirmed to be lost by the carrier services. This may take some time. Please call for details. You can use the tracking details provided for more up to date information but please get in touch straight away if you feel there is a delay.

4.5 In the case of a parcel being signed for but the customer denies receiving the package, this is called a Denial of receipt. Under these circumstances, we must contact the delivery company to confirm the delivery details and acquire a proof of delivery via signature receipt. These circumstances must be mediated by the delivery service and we cannot take action until it has been confirmed whether or not the parcel was received by the customer.

4.6 We use Despatch Bay on most orders as a 3rd party carrier and you should receive tracking information to the email you provided upon ordering. Some orders shipped by Paintmaster requires a signature upon delivery. Parcels shipped on this basis cannot be left without signatures unless specifically requested. If you miss the delivery person, a card will be left to give you instructions to either arrange a re-delivery at an extra cost to the customer or to collect it from your local sorting office / delivery depot.

4.7 Please note that in a multiple occupation building, anyone in the building is allowed to sign the parcel to confirm its receipt. Our delivery companies consider an item as delivered, once a signature at the designated address is achieved. It is your responsibility to ensure that the recipient is at the delivery address, or to obtain the delivered parcel from the signatory.

4.8 If an item is returned to us undelivered because it was not collected or received by the recipient, we reserve the right to charge delivery charges for subsequent deliveries.

4.9 When receiving your order you should inspect the packaging to ensure that it has not been tampered with in any way. If it does appear to be tampered with, you should refuse delivery. If the delivery is accepted and signed for, you will have entered into a contract to accept the item in its delivered state and, as such, we cannot assume liability for any subsequent issues surrounding loss or damage. If you accept the items as damaged, you must state ‘Damaged’ when you sign.

5- Prices
5.1 All of our prices are published including VAT. VAT has already been included at checkout before payment.

5.2 Our prices may change daily. We may update prices during any hour.

5.3 All manufacturers generally have price increases throughout the years, due to increases in manufacturing costs and inflation. While we try to absorb as much of these costs ourselves, these price increases are unavoidable.

6- Returns
6.1 *Mixed paint colours cannot be refunded or exchanged. All of our 20L & 205L paint products are mixed in the Paintmaster Factories by eye. We endeavour to match the paint colour to the nearest possible match of the shade requested. There may be a very slight shade difference which may be unavoidable.
Our ‘Standard Paintmaster Shades’ are all mixed by eye during manufacture and we try to keep these shades continuous and consistent over time. They can vary and we do not guarantee they match any specific RAL code or BS code. Standard shades purchased years apart can vary slightly and we do not guarantee they will match 100%.
Any shade discrepancies above and beyond what we would deem to be a good match, can be discussed and investigated by calling us directly.
Please note: Tinted colours are usually non returnable and non refundable, so please ensure that you choose your colours carefully and order your colours accurately due to the fact that paint colours are mixed to order, we are unable to accept returns on goods unless they are damaged. In the unlikely event that you believe there is a problem with colour matching, please send us a painted sample of the colour so that we may verify it with our factory.

6.2 Subject to 6.1 above, if you receive an item you are dissatisfied with, you may return it within fourteen (14) days to us. We’ll be happy to exchange your item(s) for something else or refund your money. items must be returned in unused condition for a refund/exchange. A copy of the invoice must accompany all returns.
